Spanish Community Health Worker Specialized Training

This entry-level Spanish-speaking training program is for anyone interested in beginning a career in the public health field, focusing on community and clinical services, community programs and social services. The program includes two courses: Role of Community Health Worker and Community Health Worker Skills & Competencies

This comprehensive training equips participants with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to serve as effective community health workers. They will engage in a combination of theoretical learning, practical exercises, and real-world applications to prepare them for the diverse responsibilities of the community health worker role.

PH 823.2-11 Community Health Worker Skills & Competencies

This comprehensive training equips participants with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to serve as effective community health workers. They will engage in a combination of theoretical learning, practical exercises, and real-world applications to prepare them for the diverse responsibilities of the community health worker role.

PH 823.1-11 Role of Community Health Worker

The course will teach the skills necessary for trainees to receive the UC Merced PACE and California state-issued CHWP/R Training Courses. This course includes 10 hours of fieldwork (paid or volunteer).
