This course prepares Community Health Workers, service providers, community-based organizations, and other Medi-Cal member assisters with foundational knowledge to help eligible members maintain coverage.

Course materials cover the Medi-Cal program, the importance of maintaining continuous coverage, key policy changes, and how to support Medi-Cal members with the renewal (redetermination) process. You will also review the use of BenefitsCal, supportive resources, and county-specific information to help eligible Medi-Cal participants maintain coverage.
