Foundations of Early Intervention and Inclusive Practice in Family Child Care Homes

This course provides Family Child Care Home (FCCH) and FCCHEN providers with foundational knowledge of child development, developmental screening, early identification, and inclusive practices in homebased early learning environments. Participants will learn to recognize developmental milestones and warning signs, adapt routines and environments for children with diverse needs, and implement strategies that support children with Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs), Individualized Education Program (IEPs), and neurodivergent learners.

The course emphasizes practical applications for mixed-age home settings and family-centered care. 

This course and Positive  Behavior Support, Family Partnership, and Early Intervention Collaboration are both required to earn the Early Education Intervention Specialized Training Award.
